The name, Each One Teach One, comes from a Kwanzaa tradition observing that it takes an entire community to educate and strengthen each member.
The mission of EOTOSA is to strengthen individuals, families and communities through adult literacy. They provide one-on-one tutoring to adults who perform below the eighth grade level academically, who are studying to take the GED exam or seeking to improve their English speaking and writing skills.
All money raised during Oct. 1 through Nov. 1, will be donated to Each One Teach One San Antonio. The Honeycomb board of directors handpicked EOTOSA in an effort to instill hope in adults who previously failed academically with a second chance by providing them with enough educational experience for future employment.
